What is Nordlys?
Nordlys by Candela is one platform with four technologies: SWT IPL, Frax 1550 and Frax 1940 non-ablative fractional lasers, and an Nd:YAG 1064 nm laser. It lets your provider treat pigment, redness, vessels and skin texture, and it can also be used for hair reduction.
What does treatment feel like?
Most clients describe each pulse as a quick snap or warm flick on the skin. The fractional handpieces use built-in SoftCool cooling to help keep you comfortable.
Is there downtime?
Most clients go back to their day right away. Mild redness is common, and treated brown spots often darken and flake off over about one to two weeks. Daily sunscreen is important afterward.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what is being treated. Many clients see visible improvement after one session, and a series of about 3 to 5 is typical for more complete results. Your provider will recommend a plan.
When will I see results?
Pigment and redness often look lighter within a couple of weeks of a session. Texture improvements from the fractional lasers build gradually over the following weeks to months, and results vary.
