What is the Gentle Pro Series?
The Gentle Pro Series by Candela pairs a 755 nm alexandrite laser with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. Having both wavelengths lets your provider match the treatment to your skin type and hair, and the same lasers can also treat some pigment and vascular concerns.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Most clients describe it as a quick snap, like a rubber band on the skin. The built-in DCD cooling spray cools the skin with every pulse to help keep you comfortable.
Is the hair removal permanent?
Laser hair removal gives long-term hair reduction, not guaranteed removal of every hair. Many clients see a big decrease in hair, and some may want occasional touch-ups over time.
How many sessions will I need?
Hair grows in cycles, so a series of sessions is needed. Most clients need about 6 to 8, spaced several weeks apart, and your provider will recommend a plan for your area and hair type.
Is there downtime, and how should I prepare?
There is usually no downtime, though mild redness or bumps can last a few hours. Shave the area beforehand, avoid waxing, plucking and tanning, and wear sunscreen between sessions.
